We are currentlyseeking candidates to fill a role as a Estate Gardener or as a Gardeners Assistant who will grow into a Estate Gardener. Applicants should be passionate about plants and the outdoors, are always seeking knowledge, and conducts them self in a professional manner. We are looking for candidates who are interested in joining a company with which they can grow. We will help guide you along a career path we build together. A path which is based on your interests and career goals.
As an estate gardener, you will be tending to everything from cozy courtyard plantings and detailed estate gardens, to terrace planters and green roofs. You will be utilizing your knowledge in sound horticultural practices, pest ID, and proper pruning techniques. The clientele you will be working with are passionate about plants and their gardens. Communicating to them effectively will be an integral part of your role with Planted Earth. The gardens you will managing include newly completed installations, all the way to well established gardens that are many years old.
-Tending to perennials and annuals in residential gardens
- Pruning and shaping of shrubs
- Boxwood hedging
- Overall health and growth of the plants
-Professionalism, effective communication and attention to detail
- Passion for the outdoors
- Current MD driver’s license, reliable transportation required
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
Benefits include paid holidays, vacation days, bonus incentives, insurance. 401K after 1 year of employment and training in horticultural skills. Uniforms and safety gear provided. Hourly wage range $16 - $20/Hr, dependent upon experience.
